Our Story

Over the years, owners have not only built an impressive rental and sales inventory but have added key services that have made Ideal Crane the full service rental and purchase solution it is today.

In the mid 2000s Ideal Crane became a forklift dealer and expanded into equipment rental. With the continual addition of equipment like scissors lifts, boom lifts and a larger variety of cranes, Ideal was able to grow with their customers. Fleet service and local trucking was also added to become the full service lifting specials they are today.

Ideal Crane has come a long way over the course of 20 years to include seven locations throughout Wisconsin and over 110 employees. The Kalhagen family is proud to continue the tradition of being a family run Wisconsin business and to serve our customers with the same values and dedication our customers have come to expect after four decades.
